Paint Type: Basecoat 3 Stage
Three stage paints are basecoat only and consist of two layers of paint, usually in one of two combinations. - A solid coloured groundcoat to be overcoated with a transparent pearl topcoat.
- A metallic/pearl groundcoat to be overcoated with a semi-transparent solid colour topcoat.
The final colour is a combination of the two layers which then needs to be clearcoated/laquered for a durable finish.- Touchups are ready to go and come as two separate pens.
- Aerosols come in two separate cans, one groundcoat and one topcoat.
- Mixed paint are supplied in two separate tins of equal volume.
